Drag Radials suck when they are cold.....
it seems like my nitto drag radials are worse then my sumitomos when it is cold out side or when the tire is cold. is it just me or is this how they are? i was racing my friends camaro z28 last night and beat him every time from a roll by about a car or a car 1/2. but from a stop his cheap bridgstones he had on there got me out of the whole. it was about maybe 45-50 degrees out. i spun like crazy through first and couldnt catch and then i short shifted into second and still spun. i know they can hook descent when they are heated up or on a prepped track. i just thought since its a softer compound they would get me some more traction on the street. btw they are pretty new.

well i thought ive been driving around anough to warm them up a little. they seem like they are worse them my stumitomos when i dont do a burnout. i know i wuold get more traction if i did a burnout but i was at a light.i thought maybe my drag radials would help me out a little bit when they are cold. o well i dont street race that much soo ill just leave it at the track.

theres a reason why people heat up the tires at the track...(burn out)

the rubber from a drag tire is specially made for hot days, the hotter they are the more they stick. the rubber is non resistant to the slightest cold! that why we have winter tires... the rubber is made to withstand the cold temperature very soft rubber. comprende amigo?
