alright, i keep puttin off buying stuff for my car because i can't decided on what to buy. I want to buy gears and i know ill need the tuner eventually, but ive been reading different stuff on chips or tuners and i cant decided between the two. I was seeing if you guys could help me out. Right now all i have is an MRT o/r h-pipe and some Ravin mufflers but i plan on gettin UDP, CAI, gears when i buy the "tuner". I dont ever plan on "tuning" it myself so should i just get the chip so i can switch tunes on the fly? i like the idea of being able to switch it quickly like that. someone please help and clarify this for me. thanks again everybody.

dont waste your money on CAI or UDPs there not worth it... personally i would buy the tuner... i find it handy especially when your check engine light comes on.

no CAI, or UDP???? i can see maybe not gettin the UDP, but i would think the cold air intake is a "must"..

and for reasons with the CEL...couldnt i just by one of those OBD-II things that autozone would use just to check the lights??

Technically yes you could... but can the OBD-II thing adjust the timing on the car? adjust the fuel/air during WOT and such?? NO it cant

see...i dont plan on adjusting that stuff myself...there is goin to be a new dyno shop opening on april close to where i live and they deal with SCT and i would have them do all the tuning because i dont know how and what to do in order to get a good tune. i think if i had the tuner i would try and do something myself and mess it up. If i had the chip, i wouldnt be able to mess with it. and i would also like to be able to switch tunes on the fly.....and the tuner CANT do that!

[/align][/align]Your '02 GT came from the factory with a pretty decent CAI, one could argue about the accordian pleated sections of the intake tube being sub-optimal but that's about it...despite the claims there isn't really much to be gained (if anything) from an aftermarket intake.[/align][/align]The Mustang OEM airbox and MAF are a common upgade for MN12 T-birds...[/align]
