Default Cat Back Kit

I have an 03 GT with Bassani Stainless Steel X-Pipe with both cats out. I am thinking of going with Bassanig Cat Back to finish the Exhaust, but should I have the cats put back in or leave them out?

Depends wether you need them for state inspection in your area. I am new to this forum, but on my other forum ( Corvetteforum.com ), this is a subject that comes up ad-nauseum. The general gist is that modern cats do not rob power the way that older ones did. The consensus is that at most, you might gain 3-5hp by taking off the cats. Some cars will actualy lose HP, because the engine won`t have the backpressure it needs. Nowadays, because of modern cat design, we can have the best of both worlds--fast cars, & clean air to breathe--, & thats pretty cool.

Good choice on the cat back. It's gonna sound bad *** either way, but it'll sound the best without the cats.

I got catless just becuase it was so much cheaper. But +1 on saving the environment and all that hippy stuff We've gotta have clean air for our cars to breathe! lol watch in 10 years theyll come out and say cats actually make the environment worse lol

Which borla are you referring to? I dumped my borla for bassani and couldn't be happier. Bassani sounds AWESOME!

If you're talking about stingers (not what I had) they do sound good, but its a different kind of sound. That's were personal preference comes in, either way they're of equal build quality.
