Default In a bit of a pickle...HELP!

Hey guys, a fewdays back I posted a problem I had with my spark plugs. The links here...

https://mustangforums.com/m_2534095/...tm.htm#2534095

So if you read the key points in there, you'd know that my spark plug basically was loose, then popped off melting my threads in the head. I need to some how re-thread the cyl. head with either a heli-coil, or a spark plug re-threader. My uncle (30 yrs mechanic) came over today to help out.Afterpurchasing a few heli-coils andthreaders, none of themcould fitwith a socket on it in the hole. The tools fit, but in order torotate the re-threader and create newthreads, I need to attach it to a ratchetwrench, and the ratchet wrench is the problem. The sockets just aretoo big to fitaround the heli-coil and fit in the spark plug hole.

So I need your help.

1. Take it to a specialty Mustang shop in my town and have them charge me up the ***.
2. Keep searching for a product that is small enough to fit and be rotated in the plug hole.
3. Find somebody on here that has figured out a way to fix this themselves.

Thanks guys. I really appreciate it.

Sounds like you'll be pulling the head.

Nahh no way I'm doing that. Thats what the dealership wants to do to make me pay them a butt load of cash. The heli-coil will work, but I need the proper tool to do it with, and the shop has that.

The specialty shop has a heli-coil that is specially made for the Mustangs coil packs. Thats what they'll do it there.

I doubt they have it in retail, and if not, I need to order it. Which means no driving for a while. I can't take the bus to school again, it absolutely kills me. I really hope I can get it done by Tuesday. And if not the bus...grandmas 2007 Civic coupe. Nicecar, but it's a honda. I refuse...
