So, does it help your acceleration? would 4.10 be better for red light drags? not good for highway..?? please explain? Thanks. : )
Yes, 4.10's help your accelaration a lot. With a good driver 4.10's can take .5 sec off your ET.

If you're not gonna S/C it for that long, just go 4.10s for now, then buy 3.73s when you go FI. That's what I'm doing.
what a waste of money... i sure hope you can install your own gears or have a friend who can do it cheap....

ok if you go FI and have anything bigger than a 3:73 then make sure you get a centri. if you get atwin screwyoull kick yourself. they increase acceleration and lower top speed. people say go with 3:73's if you go FI but its not necessary. my own opinion go with 3:90's but thats just my .02

It's not hard, I've done it myself twice already. Gears run what about$250, it's not that expensive.

No, 4.10's are fine for daily driving. People make 4.10's sound like they aren't streetable. I make 300 mile round trips to my family's lake house with them all the time. They are fine. I average 15-16 MPG in the city and 24 MPG on the highway. 1st gear does spin, but it realy isnt that bad.

Exactly...my dodge mini van v-6 3.3 turns 2600 rpm @ 70 mph...my old Dually 99 GMC crew with 4.10s and a tall tire turns 2500 @ 70 mph...2700 or so rpm @ 70 in the stang is NOTIN....with 4.10's ....
and now FI............traction on a cold street,,now thats a problem...
