Default Aftermarket cams in NPI heads?

So i read an article on a past forum post about the pi swap and how most of the power comes from the new intake and cams, and i was wondering if instead of pi cams i could just go with some aftermarket ones in the npi heads.

You can, but you can't go as aggressive in the NPI heads as you can in the PI heads or aftermarket heads. I don't know exactly what the limit is but I think it's something like stage 1 is as much as you can do in NPI heads. Someone else can probably give you better insight on that though.

Comp makes a fine line of non pi cams. I have the 268H H denotes non pi cam. the 274H will rev up to 7000 so you may want to stick with either the 626H or the 268H the good news is with the low lift and near factory rev range you wont have to change springs with either. I personally like the 268H I picked it because it max out around 6000 and I have my limiter set to 6000 now. Plus they idle just bad ***. I have heard them in other cars there is vid clips online. I cant wait to get mine in. Spring break is around the corner.
