Sniper tuning
Had my car retuned at Sniper today they are in Sanford, FL. Just wanted to let people know great customer service I am ver y happy with the tune I recieved made 282 TQ and 247 HP on my 01 gt it has a Steeda CAI Mac O/R prochamber and the tune, I love the way the car drives now very smooth power delivery, also had him turn off the o2 sensors and raise my idle a little.

Nice man. I was wondering if they were good or not because I was planning on buying their Sniper Spartan tuner. Its got a touch screen you mount in your car and everything. Im glad you liked them.

Their is no way you made that much horse power no matter how good the tuner is. OurPI GTs put out about 220 to the wheels stock. Add those bolt ons and you get only about 15 hp max, if you are lucky. I bet if you would have dyoed the car, or if you did, you made about 260 somethingRWHP, which is way off.
But thats not what a dyno is for, a Dyno is to be used to test how much is gained from certain parts/add-ons, not to know what the real horsepower of our cars are. The calibration of any companies dyno is way off no matter what. Only engine dynos are close to accurate. Keep in mind to accuratly know what a part is doing for your car, you must use the same dyno you used before you added the part.

For your info I put down only 218 bone stock and with my mods and a sniper tune done at sniper by the owner of sniper Patrick Stadjel, it now lays down 247hp 282tq, and yesterday my brother went down to sniper, as he drove my car and couldn't believe the difference, on snipers MUSTANG DUAL EDDY CURRENT DYNO he gained 31 hp and gained a little torque, torque curve is a lot fatter now on his 2004 GTO, now with his car that was all tune.

you might be suprised what a custom dyno tune can do... but you have to remember that his stock numbers were kinda fukd up so that has alot to do with his gain... his numbers are right where they should be
