Default k&n cold air intake for $40

One of my friends wrecked his gt and is selling his car for parts. His cold air fits my 02 gt. He wants $40 for it. Is it a pretty good deal or should i wait to get somethin else? And its not the polished kind.

does it come with everything to put it on??? I would be only slightly leary about it seeing is how he wrecked his car. Make sure that it isn't damaged in anyway.

ah I see. The filter being dirty isn't a problem because K&N you can clean vs having to buy a new filter. I say buy it thats a good deal.

Drive slower and it'll do more for your gas mileage than a CAI, lot cheaper too.

$40 bucks sounds like a deal?

Is it a FIPK Gen 2? I just spent $190 for mine for a comparison.

P.S.: To all the haters, I needed the C.A.R.B. E.O. sticker.

If it's the type that has the whole air cleaner exposed to underhood heat, DON'T get it. If it gets it's air from the fender then that's OK then
