Blue smoke is oil. A small amount of white smoke is alright, how much white smoke are we talking, is this on a cold or a hot day, has it increased, has your coolant been going down at faster than normal levels? These will help us out inhelping you.

Its normal for a car to burn a small amount of oil during regular driving. If there is no blue tinge to the smoke, it is not due to excessive oil burning. Check your coolant level and see how it is. If you do not add coolant, I would say it should just be normal smoke. How hard are you getting on it when you see this cloud, normal acceleration?

If you have any type of resonator muffler, your car will smoke for a long time. I have SLP LM II's which have little holes in the flow through part that are surrounded by a insulation type baffling. It gets wet from condensation and it takes forever to burn off.
