Default Need ideas on this problem!

Has anyone else had a problem with this type of symptoms? First of all I have a 2000 Mustang GT with a CAT back system and a Vortech supercharger 7-9psi. The problem started 3 months ago with a little hesitation if you start the car cold and immediately start down the road but only for maybe 500 yards.

The symptoms continue. Next the loping idle that is as if the car is missing, but not all the time and sometime worse than others. Now this happens with or without the AC running. About 2 months ago the car for one whole day would turn over several turn before starting up, it was as if someone shut the fuel off. The next day I came to a stop, the car shut off and would not crank back up. I had the car towed back home think that at least now I can if the problem. Got home after work and the car cracked up which put me back on the search. I have noticed a slight surge when I am diving at a constant speed. I have also notice a gas smell when I first crank the car. It maybe me but the car seems a little pep.

This is what I have done thus far. I replaced the fuel filter and plugs, checked and cleaned MAF sensor, new plug and check all vacuum hoses. I checked the compression today and all were 145-149 range except one which was 134. I do not think that is the problem. I checked the fuel pressure running and at idle set around 30 psi, which was slightly lower than the 35 psi the book stated. The check engine light has not come on but I did have the Ford dealer run a scan and they found nothing.

Idle control valve- I have read several post and this seem to be the root of a lot of problem. But would this cause the above mentioned symptoms and cause the car to shut off and not crank once?

I need ideas and my car needs help.

The IAC is usually only gonna give you idleing probles if its acting up, did you ever get a tune or are you using a vortech chip?
