Im looking at getting some Comp cams 270X 550. Any one have these and if not what cams do you have and do you like them???
If you do have cams do you have any exaust clips of them???

i was going to buy those cams ive heard there pretty good kinda like stage 2s. i like comp cams i think they make quality products but im going with VT ive decided.

I can get a set for $500 and have a buddy that said he would install them for $200 you think they are worth it???

$700 for cams... not bad.. i got quoted $700 for the INSTALL let alone an additional $550 for the cams and valve springs.

o ya you might want change out the valve springs... im not sure if you have to but its cheap insurance.

Should be $700 for labor and if he's 'seriously' looking at 270's he'll need to the the springsand valvestoo. It wouldn't hurt to change the rockers, get adjustable cam gears, some head work, intake etc., because he's not going to get the most out of the cams with his current mod list.

What are you talkin about??? You posted a nonsense article on another cam ad! If you don't know then don't speak(or write in this case) You don't need head work and new rocker arms adj cam gears and or new springs for that style cam to perform better than stock! What I would suggest is that if there are more than 50kmi on a car to change out the springs, stock rockers are fine. I wouldn't however reccomend a "buddy" to do the job for $200 and slap a set of cams in there without checking for lash and grinding down the valves properly! You can get the job done without tearing the front of your engine apart but it takes special tools to do so! I would highly go against adj. cam gears especially if you don't have any kind of boost! Any timing adj. that you need to make would be available in any Programmer that's out there! Cam gears are a complete waste!!!!! So isn't GSXRIntesity!..LOL
