WHY NOT!!!??? Cams at any time would be worth it! If you have minor bolt-ons then I would go with Comp Cams XE-262ah they are a smoother idle and work great down Low and in the mid. If you go too high like a stage 2 the you'll get choppy idle which everyone wants, but then you'll have absolutely no bottom end unles you get 4:10 gears. Or atleast 3:55's. If you have significant bolt-ons like LT's you could squeeze away with stage 2 and 3:27's, but thats pushin it. You'll be boggin out at 1500rpms

I see, this is the "ad" you were talking about. I can tell you don't know as much as you think you do. You are right about the 262 being good for slightly modded motors, BUT don't just start throwing out #'s until you know what the guy is looking for. He question was which should be done first. HEADERS ARE THE OBVIOUS OPTION! Comp's mild street (stage 2) cam's idle aren't that "choppy" My 270's are noticeable, but I love it. BTW...I haven't lost any bottom end either. The peak power for the cams is at 6100rpm w/the meat of it starting after 4000rpm, but the 270's still offer decent low/mid power. The xe278 is drag race option w/'no' bottomend. One last note...nothing less than a 4.10 in a 2V or 4.30 in a 4V regardless of what cams you get...f*ck a 3.27 or 3.55 on ANY application.
