yeah, im having the same problem with my T-45. it has 54,000 miles on it. and at this point im pretty sure the synchros are shot.

i would take it to the dealer if i were you....i had similar problems on my 04...they ended up doing almost $3k worth of tranny work. luckily i had the extended warranty so it only cost me $100. you should still be covered by fords factory warrany wich is 36k miles.

Mine made a noise (not grinding) when going into second and no other gear.
I brought it to the dealer and they said it was normal for the 3650.
I thought they would say this but I wanted it to be notedon the bill with the other service work I had done in case it got worse later (off warranty)and they could not say I didn't bring it to their attention while under warranty.

After I installed the new short shifter the noise went away.

Unfortunately no...they are just a technical service bulletins issued by the dealer ,,for "common problems" and will be warranty as long as it is stillunder warranty....They actually help me tremendously at work though........
