ORIGINAL: redass02gtugh.. you picked a lot of mufflers that aren't very common. are you stuck on using only the ones listed? pretty sure the flowmasters will have drone, they are known for it. where did you find that test data? and how much air does an actual 4.6 2v put out, is it actually restricted by any of those?
Since a catback adds less than 5whp I doubt any mufflers restrict any flow. In fact that info syas adding a catback is almost a waste. Of all my mods the gears, JLT CAI and tuner added something. The exhaust, 75mmBBK TB/plenum and PYPES exhaust did not combined add 12whp IMHO. mark

Sorry to burst your bubble but CAI's don't add much to N/A stangs either

I do appreciate all of the feedback and was letting off a bit of frustration as these cars just are not going to keep up with what is coming along, heck the V6 is reported to be slated for 300HP in '09. I've simply deceided to enjoy mine as a convertible and recently ordered a set of FR500's and a new set of Sumi's. I will get a wideband and do some fine tuning to get some extra power if neededas I am out of bolt ons. mark

I wouldnt want the best flowing mufflers, you want some back pressure for low end torque, right?

I chose to go w/ 3 chamber mufflers so it wouldn't be so loud w/ my o/r/x pipe . soundsreal good & no drone .
Yeah those 3 chambers are very quiet and flow pretty well

After years with 2-chamber drone, my 3-chamber flows were the solution. Works wonders.

i friggin love my 2,000 rpm drone, 1,900-2,100 rpms is SEX, if you wanna get rid of the drone dont cruise at 2,000 rpms or within 100 rpms of it, that simple! why getcaught upon a drone that basically exists within200 rpms of a certain rpm? I mantain my rpms at 2,000 rpms as much as possible just for the drone, lawl. IF I were you I would try to not be so picky, or go back to stock, I dont recall any drone period with my stock mufflers, very very quiet.
