Default Valve Covers

Instead of paying $300 to get the lame @$$ BBK chrome valve covers i was just thinking about taking my stockers and having them chrome dipped. What do you guys think?

They are great quality, they use a stock gasket for a perfect seal and have the correct baffles in place unlike BBK...
Painted stockers look good but i would always be worried about chipping and flaking.
