ABS/Trac off light on??

ABS/Trac off light on??
Hey guys, i have a 03 GT and the Trac light always stays on and the ABS light stays on. When i got home today from work i rinsed it off bc it looked like hell from all the pollen and i noticed all 4 brake calipers were steaming when water hit them. i didnt drive it far, 10 miles or so, not enough for them to be that hot. What could be going on here??? Ive been doing some research and some say if you have different size tires then the trac control system is going to apply the brakes while driving. well i have 235/40/18 in front and 275/35/18 in rear. could this be my problem with the whole system?? it does feel like the breaks are hanging sometimes when driving.

does the ABS light flash or stay on. even if the senors are dirty that can trigger the ABS light on. I would think one good hard stop is enough to make those rotors hot, think of all the energy transfered to them from stopping a 3400 lb car.
I am eager to hear about the tire sizes and T/C. my TC seems to never say its off no matter what I do to the button, but I can light them up no problem so IDK.

true. i have cleaned the sensors and they were dirty but the light still stays on. doesn't flash just stays on. the trac button light stays on no matter what i do. so if the light is on, does that mean the trac control is on or off??

Mine just has a led light. This morning i noticed the ABS and trac light didnt come on until i drove about 10 miles and then they poped up. The ABS came on first and then the trac light came on. i dont know whats goin on, i guess im just going to have to take it in and have it hooked up.

You probably just have an ABS sensor that going bad.
I had this happen in my explorer (pos winter car). The ABS would activate everytime I slowed down.
As for the brakes being steaming hot. It takes almost no time at all for them to heat up like that.
Thats just my .02

Ok well ill take a look at them. I went behind food lion today after work and lit the tires up so the Trac control isnt affecting that. Tomorrow ill pull the rear wheels back off and check everything out again. Thanks for the info justinsmt88. I'll let yall know what I figure out.

So I looked and cleaned all 4 abs sensors and the lights are still on. And today while driving I started smelling the breaks. Pulled into Lowe's and the front brakes were smoking hot. I don't know what the hell is going on.
