All they need is a PI swap and they're right there with the 99-04's. I don't see the big deal.
True, I just didnt expect the parts and install for that swap to cost around $2k!
thats what it cost to upgrade the H/C/I on just about any car if not more!
Yea but in other cars a H/C/I swap will net you more than 50 hp[&:]...oh that's at the crank not the wheels.
drop a 4 valve motor in there and do a PI swap and go to town. Just look at my sig.
Now why would you replace the 4V heads with ****ty 2V PI heads? I'm guessing that was a typo because their is no such thing as a PI upgrade for 4V heads

Well thats why I should just get a 99-04 and start with that much power instead of having to drop $2k just to get even with it.

+1 000 000 000 but, then again, I knew what I was getting myself into when buying my car, at the time I was going for more "show then go", but.....that all changed very, very, quickly.

Look at it this way, you're going to spend more than 2 grand for a 99-04 than a 96-98...so take your choice in body style. The new edge sn95's are going for a lot more than the 96-98 sn95's...with that difference in money you can put that money into the 96-98 and make it faster than the stock 99-04...just a different way to look at it .

Also, people know that our sn95s are "slow", so where you see failure, i see opportunity, make it quick, then surprise ppl when they see your "slow" sn95 running low 13s at the track

I dont see what the big problem is, spend about $500 and put no a 100 to a 150 shot of nitrous and your good to go.
