My Hurst works just as well as any Pro 5.0. When you say Hurst most people think about the ****ty competition shifter. Make sure you get the good one, the one with the short handle and self-centering mechanism, and all that good stuff. Thats what I got and it kicks serious ***.

RE: short throws???
I have the Pro 5.0 in my car and it works very well. The only thing I changed was to machine the bolt holes in the Pro 5.0 handle 1/4 inch and use a spacer under the the factory **** to move it backward and up to better fit my tall frame without having to lean forward to shift.I probably could have used the factory handle but I just have to work on everything.

RE: short throws???
i picked the steeda tri-ax because I felt that the stock shifter position was too far forward and off to the right. The Steeda moves it back and left a little...so i don't have to reach for 5th.
shifts good too but it gets warm and transfers more noise into the cabin than stock......which is cool with me.
