Rear End noise

Rear End noise
Hey, I have a 2000 Mustang Gt and i just recently started to hear a thumping noise comping from the backend of my car. It usually occurs whenever I make a turn. Im wondering if it could have anything to do with the new tires and brakes put on in the back. I never heard it until after the new tires and brake rotors put on.....any input on what it could be would be a real help

RE: Rear End noise
How long ago were the brakes/tires replaced? could be when the wheel was put back on it was put on crooked, which would make it loose, that would make a thumping noise when going around a turn, but it would get worse and start rattling and thumping more as your drove... or mabey something to do with the caliper/brake shoes being put on wrong... I would take the wheels off, look for anything wrong, and put the wheels back on straight, tight, and torqued down and see if that doesnt fix the problem.... you can also grab the tire and shake it while on the car and see if the rim moves back and forth, or if it is sturdy.

Get the tire/brake thing sorted out first, just to make sure something wasn't installed incorrectly. Other than that, try changing the diff fluid. My rear end made all kinds of noises because it is on its way out, buta diff fluid change completely eliminated the noise. I was getting grinding, popping and creaking sounds every time I made a turn.

Yeah, it turned out that the fluid was full of metal pieces and the spider gears were really worn, but I didn't have the $$ to replace it all, so I saidF it. I buttoned itback up, filled it with fluid and it worked fine.

My brakes and tires were just put on withing the last week and this is when the noise started.......i had my rear dif fluid changed at the end of the summer so its still good, i also took off both rear tires and they both seem...ill probably just end up bringing it back to my mechanic just to make sure they didn't mess anything up........Thanks
