If you don't even know the difference in sound between a turbocharger and a supercharger you probably need to do a little research first and foremost. The most cut and dry way to describe the sound is that the turbo whistles while the supercharger whines. I like the supercharger whine, but the turbo wins in my book. Turbos are just more expensive and take more maintenance than a supercharger, so most people go with superchargers.
