Default Tires and wheels

Have any of you guys heard of Nexen tires. I am looking at a wheel/tire combo on ebay for my 2002 gt, mineral grey. How do you guys think these would look? How much do you think they are worth?

Thanks!

Hahahaha... w/ those tires and 3.73's you're going to spin all over the place.

you think? they are wider... Do you say that because of the tread or because they are slightly smaller diameter?

The bigger wheel you go the less traction you are going to get unless you get a taller tire.

They look like a cheap knock-off tire that probably couldn't grip gorilla glue.

wow... thanks for the support guys. If you look closer the tires are rated AA in traction category., and y for speed. those are the highest ratings a tire can have. So i'm not sure where your opinions are being formulated from?

No, a "Z" rating is higher for speed. And their traction ratings are BS... "AA" for normal driving. Get some real tires on there!

I don't know...265's are a pretty beefy street tire, no? They're wider than stock anyways...if they're a softer rubber compound, they'll probably work out good, but I really have no idea, I never put anything larger than 245's on mine, which is stock width, but my car doesn't nearly put out the hp's of yours...I mean, if you don't like them, have fun smoking them up, and buy some better ones when they're bald, haha...the rims are cool...

99-03 mustangs can go up to a 10.5in rim in the rear.I have 285/35/ZR18 on the rear and 265/40/ZR18 on the front of my car and it hooks up pretty good.

They are the Nexen 3000 - 265/35 ZR18. Made in Korea. They are speed rated at "Y".
how is that? they're ZR18's but they're Y rated?

I don't understand why people believe a wider tire will automatically give you more traction. If it's a hard compound tire, you could put 315's on the back and the difference would be so minimal you wouldn't notice it.

Soft compounds are the key to traction.
