I just bought my 2002 mustang about 4 month ago wit 20,000 miles on it. my brakes squeek every once and a while. could this be because there wet or could brake dust be causeing the problem? I dont think the brakes are going bad yet with 23,000 miles on the car. whatdo you all think?

its str8. Just get down there and check out the pad, see if there is any pad left. this should be visible throught the rim

my brakes do the same thing... but only after it rains ori wash it so i think its when they get wet it makes that sound. And it usually goes away after about two stops.

Not all the uncommon from time to time, check the pads and rotors for any abnormal wear. Replace accordingly. It doesn't matter as much as to how many miles are on the car but if they where broken in properly and how much braking you did or the previous owner did etc. But it should be something simple no big deal.
