Default Garaged cars for winter...

Well I put my Mach in the garage for winter (will be there probably until March)
I was just curious how often I should start it up, give it a few revs, and maybe take it around the block just to get all the oils flowing and keep the battery alive etc.
Once a week, once a month, what do ya say??

I usually start mine up and let it run for about 20 minutes or take it out for a ride if the streets are clean at least every 2 weeks.

mine sits for 5 to6 months also. If your gonna start it, do so about every 2 weeks and make sure to get it up to temp. that way all the moisture is evaporated out of the exhaust system. If your not gonna start it at all, then make sure you change the oil before you start it up in the spring.

Don't just run it around the block or you run the risk of causing sludge to start forming. This happens when the oil picks up acid and water from normal combustion and they're not boiled off by engine heat. This kind of driving isn't all that good for the battery either. Here's a link to a battery charger that will keep the battery charged and can help out an old battery to last longer.

You can use this charger to keep the battery charged and just crank the engine without letting it start to keep the internals oiled by holding the gas pedal to the floor while you crank the engine until the oil guage regisers pressure.

Make sure you add stabilizer to the fuel tank and run it for about ten min to get it through the lines

I need to add stabil still as well, add a bit of air to my MT's out back, and top off my coolant..

oil change should probably be done before and after it sits, but as long as you arent over your mileage, i wont hurt it to sit, especially since it'll only be there till March, thats not realy that far off

*sigh*
i just put mine away about a week and a half ago, instead of the start of november, like usual

No need to start it, your engine can go long periods of times between starts without seals going fubar. Unless you can get the car out and drive it, don't waste your time & gas.
