When to upgrade axle?
I failed state inspection due to leaking axle seals. Probably poorly installed gaskets when the 4.10's were installed. Anyway, since I am paying someone to take the pumpkin apart, I am considering upgrading to a 31 spline while I am at it.
The question is, under what sort of conditions would I wexpect the stock axle to break? I dont plan on doing much if any track time, so a sticky hard launch will be rare if ever. I dyno'ed at 250 rwhp a month ago. I may eventuallyput a blower on, but not anytime soon.
Ever heard of one breaking short of 350 rwhP?
