just a 100 shot would get you close but i dont think close enough. Go with the mongoose kit and you should be in better shape

Nitrous is significantly cheaper, so if you don't want to spend that much money I would go that route. If you don't have them already, I would try and pick up a good set of Drag Radials.

And if the whole point of this is to just beat your friend, why spend 5 grand... get a 100 shot and call it a day, thats a lot of money just to one-up your bud.

and you should be able to get him with just a 100 shot and a good launch i think. but the mongoose kit would be the most fun. those 3v's respond really well to mods. olmost as good as terminators.

I would go with nitrous, suspension, and tires. you won't come close to the 5k barrier and you don't have to tell him what you have. When he pulls up to the tree giggling at you, because he thinks his s/c'd stang will smoke your n/a stang, you can take him. Most likely he'll be spinning at the light and you'll be spraying to the finish line.

You can also have all that done before the 3 weeks are up.

i think i would rather go with the nitrous. cuz i'm thinkin 1k for the kit, including all the things like bottle opener and warmer, purge and all that. maybe a little more than 1k. but then i will be able to spend more money on supporting mods. i forgot to say i already have 4.10's. i have him beat right now cuz we have messed around on the street before. and really sticky tires are not what i wanna do cuz i cant afford to break an axle. i have springs already too. so i'm thinkin with my mods, 100 shot, maybe some lca's, and a good launch i will be able to take him. he sucks at driving and i'm betting he wont be able to keep traction with his new found power. sound like a good plan?
