Default Dissapointment

Today I had the Magna Packs welded in to replace the Super 40's Flows and boy am I disappointed![>:] Most every one agrees that a straight thru muffler sounds better w. a x pipe but the 40's sounded more aggressive and louderthan the Packs[:@]. I kept the Flows in case the packs don't work out.

Last week I had the catted x installed , Tues. I installed a JLT ram air intake, and today I had the packs put on and now it sound like s**t at idle. And I think it's running rich. It's either the check eng. light or service eng. soon light that's been coming on. I've unhooked the battery and scanned for codes and it spit out three: P7A00, P68C3, P79FC.
All I wanted was for this 02 4.6 gtto be as loud as my 93 lx 5.0 (shorty headers, dynomax high flow cats welded to stock mid pipe w. flowmaster muffs & 3.5" tips), but so far to date it's been disappointing.[&o]

Any ideas or sugestions??

I actually can't stand the sound of my bassani catted x with my flowmaster exhaust and was thinking of installing a Magnaflow or Dynomax catback. So far I have any check engine light or service engine warning come on yet, knock on wood. I never installed the 02 extensions either.

if you want it to be as loud as your 5.0, take off the cats. then you will think your 5.0 was a mute.

I thought that the Magna Pack were right behind the Lm1's as far as tone.

And I've never had a o/r mid pipe of any kind before, I've always had some kind of high flow set up.

Magnapacks do not sound like CRAP! With an x-pipe gonna sound really raspy. With and o/r h or catted h. THey sound Badass...trust me.
