I tried to locate the door tag to know wich kind of tranny have my stang 2002 gt and what kind of rear-end too. I cant find it but i check on the rear-end a metallic tag and say this:

S229H 3L27 88 1L30

Is this numer could tell me which kind of both things do i have?

Thats all.. I only want know what i have to know if i can upgrade my gears to 4.10

I didn't decode anything. It's common knowledge that the GTs came with the 8.8" rear and after mid 01 they came with the 3650 transmission. Just buy 4.10 gears that are for a Ford 8.8" rear. You won't regret it that was easily the best mod so far for me[8D]

The 5-spd is the Tremec Tr-3650. I'm not sure about the auto. You can get FRPP 4.10's that will slip right in to your differential and make it feel like its pulling real hard. I would suggest a higher stall tourqe converter too.

Oh you have an automatic nevermind. It's a 4R70W which is just a revised version of the older AODE

thanks! i think i'll buy X-Calibrator 2 and 4.10 Gear Kit. Only i need know who can install the gear on my mystang and how much i'll pay for it.

Same exact kit I went with. You won't be dissapointed. It's always good to ask in a local forum. I asked and was referred to a shop that did it for $150. They did a great job at a greater price[8D]
