By no means would I advocate this practice ( running low on oil) and the gains you will see on this are in the thousandths of a second....so if you are losing by your license plate....well you may pull even. That is the purpose behind the windage tray. Keep in mind this is why that top fuel cars rebuild thier motors after a few passes...maybe 1.5 miles total. If you want any more life out of your car than the 1.5 miles, run 6 quarts.

sorry to hi-jack the thread.. but my Low oil light has been on for a couple of weeks.. ive checked the oil many times, and it is full, and im constantly watching the pressure guage.. and it is more towards the High pressure.. Sprostang, is that hard to switch out? do you know where it is located?

I dont have the factory owners manuals but i have a haynes manual: its says 5 qts, and after i saw it was low i went to pick up a qt of oil, I askedto make sure at autozone and he looked it up and said 5 qts

yea i agree but it looked good before i put the additional pint of oil, so the low oil light wouldgo out
