Default Warning light

I was driving today and I went over a hill at like 50 and when I went over a green light came on with a wheel and some sort of lines coming from under it. Then it just went away after like 15 seconds. I don't have a owners manual so I can't look it up and see what it means so I was wondering if any of you guys (or girls) knew what it meant. Thanks.

Ummmm.... that would be your traction control light, telling you that it just caught the tires slipping and reduced engine power.

Yes, but a majority of the population is not capable of handleing the amount of power produced by there vechicales and need assistants to keep them out of trouble, because all they want is more power they can't control.

Driving skills come with time and practice, as well as, a excellent understanding of car balance. Most people lack the ability to drive there car to the edge and maintain control. Most over drive and upset the car to the point it is not saveable, hence crashing. Give them something to keep them from getting into to much trouble to keep them safe is the only thing to do. ABS, TCS, YCS,... were all primarily created for these reasons. They have there place in racing, but the numbers that they produce with gearing used dictates when it is used, most programs use TCS for only the first few gears, because they are so short.

TCS goes off as soon as I start my car, and I have yet to use the ABS. I feel I am one of the minorities in this group. TCS and ABS should be an option on a sports car not a requirement. But I guess as long as you can shut off the TCS I will have to be happy.

I dont think my 96 has the TCS ... Im positive it doesnt. Doe's that mean my cars slow enough where the population can handle that power?

Do 99 and up have more power? LOL

Just a generailaztion. Almost every new car with some kind of sack has a saftey system onboard. Not every car STi's for example don't TCS.

"a majority of the population is not capable of handleing the amount of power produced by there vechicales and need assistants to keep them out of trouble..."

Just 'cuse it doesn't have it doens't mean it doesn't need it. I have seen many people think they know what they are doing with a mustang and wrap it around a poll. My favorite is the one guy who saw me in a parking lot when i had my Civic.

Pulled up said something stupid about rice, reved, dumped, squirrled it right in to a light poll. Backs up takes off. I am laughing my a$$ off, leave shortly after. Find him sitting on the side of the road with a wrecker loading up the stang. LOL.

BTW the civic wasn't rice, nice exhaust bolt on motor mods, only exterior mods were custom grill, carbon fiber hood and fog lights. Far from rice and whooped on V6 stang's and camaros.
