Default Black tail panel insert

Hey guys....
I saw this on a few 99-04 Mustangs and wanted to get one for mine, but have had trouble finding a vendor besides Mach1 (they have Mach1 printed on it, which I don't want).

So does anyone know who's a good vendor for this piece?

How studry are those things? Is the 3M adhesive reliable? Just had a body panel fly off my car on the freeway, so I'm a bit gun-shy.

Personally, I think painting the rear section looks 100x better than those.. Why do people ditch the honeycomb in the front, then put it on the rear?

WOW thanks for the quick replies...

I too would like to know how well these pieces stay on. I assume the license plate fasteners would go thru and help hold it to the body as well...

I, too, am looking at that product. In fact, I made a thread about it yeseterday: https://mustangforums.com/m_2615263/...tm.htm#2615622

I think it looks good, honestly. And I don't know what the deal is with people hating the honeycomb. I think the honeycomb is a fine looking grill; I'm not a fan of the grill deletes. But, hey, whatever floats your boat.

I agree, though, having it painted a matte black would look much better. Anyone have any idea what that would cost?

My guess to paint it would be about $100-150. But if done in mat it should be a quick scuff and spray, without any blending or obviously any clear, so now that I think of it probablyless!
