Mach1, Cobra, or new GT?

RE: Mach1, Cobra, or new GT?
Reducing weight on the Cobra does not reap the dividends one might expect. Major items are swapping the IRS, removing the backseat, and exchanging the front seats.
It's easier just to make more power than to reduce weight on this car in my opinion.
Oh, the cast block of the Cobra only adds around 80 lbs of weight to the car. The Eaton and IC add a good bit.
What are you planning to do with the car anyways? I don't race mine on the track(I will eventually ), but I know it's plenty enough for me to have some serious traction issues now..

RE: Mach1, Cobra, or new GT?
I just want a badass Mustang. My whole family is hardcore "Ford devotees" so this is exactly what I'm looking for. As far as what I want to do with it... well, I guess about the same most other people do, own the traffic lights and run down the track a once in awhile. Plus, getting to see the face my dad makes when I let him drive it would be worth everything to me.
Plus I saw a street race not long ago that included an SRT-4, 350z (lots of n2o), and a modded cobra (511 hp). In each race the Cobra left them quickly and sounded AWESOME.
I will later do a project car (if I ever find time) with a foxbody and the 460 sitting out in my shop.

I know that look you are talking about.
My dad had it during the first ride in my car.
He had the same look again after I swapped the pulley.
Mine pulls well. Too well in fact. You can be running a decent speed in 2nd, kick it and just light the tires up. Now I still have the stock tires though. Third gear is unreal. I have never found the room to run it out before shutting down, but every gear pulls like a SOB!
