My 04 GT does itall the time when itscold out.not when its warm out I'm guessing its just from the cold air mixing with the hot gassed left in the exhaust

did you just get the exhaust?...every exhaust we have gotten on all our cars did this for a few weeks...then it went away...it would always have a burnt smell too from the fresh welds...ahh i love that smell!
