Did anybody take the calipers off completely to paint them? Could it be done without removing the caliper?

does anyone know of caliper paint that comes in like a gold color. i dont want bright gold but more of this....
..
I have a blue 02 GT with gold insertes in mustang on bumper, gold front window decal that says "MUSTANG GT" and a two little gold pin stripes that run down both sides of the car right above door handle. so gold calipers would look nice on mine.

i think red looks good on calipers, thats what i did to mine. I just bought a can of glossy red rust-o-leum paint at home depot for like $5. I was too lazy to take the rims off so i sprayed the paint into a puddle on a sheet of paper and used a sponge brush to put it on (i applied like 3-4 coats). It looks great, i dont have any pics of it yet though
