There are 2 rivets in the stock plates that you can visibly see right on top. If they are driled out you can have some adjustment. Extend the slots in the plates and have even more but if removing the rivets did not do the trick I would get the CC plates. I understand the MM plates go on top of the strut so if I end up needing them I would not have to remove the strut, correct? If that's the case I will see what happens with my FRPP "G" Vert springs. You have to drop the strut. There's a piece that goes up inside the strut tower and a piece on top. This sandwiches the strut tower in between and adds strength. You can down load the install instructions for the C/C plates from MM's site and read all about it.
