PI cams and intake

RE: PI cams and intake
Yes you and I have a lot in common, I was in the same boat for a while. Right now my dilemma is a little different than yours. My suggestion is this, even though you said forget the miles, you also say you will be taking care of that. Well that is an important piece of the puzzle. Yuo need to let us know what you intend. Reason: If you are going to rebuild the bottom end, you can get forged rods and pistons with a deeper dish and have the same compression as a PI motor. Now you can have ported PI heads, add boost and not worry about compression. Why do a manifold and npi cams now if you are going to redo your bottom end? Figure out what the end result you want, and look at achieving it from as many angle as possible.
Hope this helped

RE: PI cams and intake
i am looking at all this, but i have a VERY limited budget since i got married like15 months ago, bought a house about 9 months ago, and had a son 3 months ago
so i am trying to find the best way to rebuild my motor for max performance now, but still be able to add boost in about 5-7 years without having to rebuild it again(aka the high compression now for power while still being able to boost laterwithout another rebuild)

You don't need adapter plates..
Here's a good write-up for the manifold swap..

ah, i forgot they don't allow that site...
