I decided to take of the valve cover again to look around and found that the one of the roacker arms came off really easily.I inspected the tappet and springbut I am not very familar with that.I put it back on and gave it a couple of turns. Everything looked to be ok. After getting all back together, I started the car and the sound was gone. Usaually after starting the car the sounds comes in about 15 seconds. This time the car got to temp before the sound started about 5 mins or so.

the bolt holding the rocker arm on may be stripped (causing it to back out) or that lash adjuster might be stuck... I'm assuming that the arm in question feeds the cylinder with oil on it?

Itdidn't have any bolts. Does a tappet work like a hydraulic lift?????? I tried to push it in and it did not move.
