My local mustang shop said they won't make the car any faster. I got a tuner and firmed my shifts that way. You should get a stall and tranny cooler next, IMO.

P.S. - DI you run 12.8 with all the mods in your sig?

Do you have have N/A times?

Back to the point though, did your predator firm up your shifts? Or do you have the option to? I would just do that if you could. A stall andsticky tires wouldreally lower your times.

Rule of thumb, hard shifts wear out hard parts like planetaries and such. Soft shifts wear out soft parts like clutches.
A shift kit MIGHT add .1 to your 1/4, but a torque convertor will really help it out.

Some say they help, some say they don't. I have heard of people dropping .1 of a second in a quarter mile from it, but I've also heard they do nothing but make the shifts feel harder. The ones I've read about dropping their ET's though are usually older stangs. I can't find any articles of a shift kit helping a new edge gt's ET. I'm personally just going to skip the shift kit.

What does a torque convertor do??
That's what you really need. It will allow you to launch at a higher rpm than you could just power braking it. With a stall converter and drag radials, you could drop an easy .5 seconds off your ET. Also, lock up style torque converters are very streetable.

allows you to launch higher. stock you can only go to what 1500 rpms. with a stall converter you can go up to 4,000 depending on the stall you get. i have yet to install mine but I paid $1000 for it and it frees up horsepower and i can lock it in 2nd to get better mph results. mines a 4,000 rpm one btw. i also bought a deep pan and transcooler. best mod you can do for your car its about equal to nitrous. also it will allow you to launch out of the hole on the juice if your suspension is good enough.
