Default DOHC or SOCH
A buddy of mine is looking at a 98' GT he asked me if it was SOHC or DOHC....I didn't know that's why I'm asking you! Lemme know! Any performance difference?

GT`s are SOHC. Theres a pretty big difference in performance vs. the DOHC which is in cobras and Mach 1`s

SOHC = Single overhead Cam, DOHC = Dual Overhead Cams.

gts come with single overhead cam and machs and cobras come with double overhead cam.

stupid question i'm sure, but what would it take to make a gt to where it would have dohc and is it worth the hassle even if it is possible?

I think that you would need a Mach or Cobra engine in order to make it DOHC. This would also involve other things. It isn't a simple drop in.

Yes it is a simple drop in to go from SOHC to DOHC, but you have to find a complete motor with computers and such... might be easier to just find a 96-98 Cobra for around 6k instead.
