I am going to replace my gauge cluster and I am probably going to replace the whole thing with a cobra or mach cluster. Will the speedometer read right because of the speedo difference? The cobra speedo goes higher than 150 so will my car know that and fix it?

The speedo won't change at all. It's in your brain that has your rear gears programmed. The computer can calculate up to 300mph it's what the car will do and what the dash will show. The mileage is digital, so again it's what your brain has programmed is what it will read....I believe...most sure of it? Most positive you can take a digital speedo out of a car with 150kmi on it and put it in a car with 45kmi on it and it should read 45kmi

Ya you are right on the odomter thing. But my speedo goes from 10mph to 150mph. What if I got a new one tha went from 10mph to 170mph? Will the speedometer read right because the numbers will be in different spots?

That depends if you are getting a whole new guage cluster or just one of those stick on deals!.lol If you get an overlayment that needs to match what you have. If you are going to a whole new guage cluster, that gets attatched by wires which do all the internal work for you.

I would be replaceing the whole cluster. So would the computer make up for the change because it knows the cluster?

No, the cluster has a chip (or logic circuits) in it that will do it for you. The answer you're looking for is 'yes', but not for the reason you stated.
