could somebody tell me what kind of cams would best benefit my 98 gt

i would look into comp cams they make a set for your car and there is another place but i can't think of it right now "im a little tired" and o yeah i about forgot i see that your a newb and im gonna give ya some good advice there is a search feature on this forum so you might want to use it some because some of the guys on here will give you hell for asking the same questions 2000 other people have

if your 98 is stock, a set of comp XE262H would benefit you best.

Not from a 98 you wont get that. Your heads and intake choke out above 5k rpm very hard. A set of PI cams would be your best bet, it won't lope but you'd pickup a good 15rwhp for under $150

^^^ it won't lope with the 262's that hard to belive because i was on stangnet one time and a guy there had them in his 97 gt and sent me a soundclip and it sure did'nt sound stock and i got the 30 from cause the guy told me that was about what he picked up but you can't belive everthing everybody tell's you

Can you use PI cams with stock non pi heads?

Indeed you can. But, if you're going to do cams, you may as well do a head/intake swap. Although, the $600 Livernois PI intake kit + $1oo for PI cams is less than half the price of a headswap?
