So I just went to replace the mechanical gear to correct for the 3.73 gearsin the rear only to find that the one in there was the same one I just bought, errrrr [:@]. Wierd thing is that 2/3 of the plastic mechanical gear was striped down bad. Any ideas at why that would happen? I replaced it with the new one I got butthe speedo still seems to be off, is there anything else that I need to do? I have 275/40/17 tires.

Does not matter. You can have stocker (17 for 2.73) in there and it'll compensate

Can you look at this page and tell me if I am supposed to have a 7 or 8 tooth drive gear? Descriptions are at the bottom of the page.
