Read lots of car mags. They can give you a million options on how to make 500 hp and give you diff prices for diff setups. Also what will make hp in a chevy will make hp in a ford or import--just diff brands for em. So read all the mags you can get your hands on, there are unlimited options. Nitros would be a quick cheap start, and you can add up to 125 with no internal mods(just timing). It doesn't hurt the engine as bad as other mods that make similar hp 'cause you can turn it off. Can't turn off a S/C or turbo!

Intercooled Kenne Bell at 16 psi with complete intake, exhaust, and some forged internals. Easily put you into the 500 range in what would seem like a reasonable price. Twin turbos will gain you the most power, but are hard to deal with. And i wouldnt even try to get my car that high in the power range unless i knew quite a bit about what i was doing. Keep posting so we can hear the results of your project.

Guy's got a long way to go from a 225rwhp approx. Be nice if we knew EXACTLY what he wanted to do to the car to reach that #, & how he planned on putting it safely to the ground [read: suspension].

You can just about any car car put out 500hp, what do want from you car [drag only, daily, both]? Budget? How long do u plan on keeping it? There are a lot of factors in acheiving a solid 500hp, so be specific. Most of the people on this forum are great people & very knowledgeable...though at times some butt heads, so the more specific you are, the better response you will get.

Well I want it for daily driver but just for some respect issues for some cars to deal with!! Well first Im getting bassinis then from there bolt ons! But I heard if you get a kb, then you have to forge the internals and get new cams and heads! I just need someone to tell me what I should get if I buy a kb system for a 2003 mustang gt!! TELL ME EVERYTHING! From intakes to cams! I will read some mags too but thanks guys!!

Yeah, and the bottom end would last a whole 1/4 mile run (maybe).

No way a SOHC 4.6 can take 600 RWHP on stock internals. And im thinking the stock plastic intake isn't going to find it real enjoyable either.

GT blocks are notorious for splitting apart at 600. a good shortblock with forged internals is what he'll need, not just internals. also, i'd worry about your drivetrain and suspension as well, your motor can make all that power, but never really put it to good use with no supporting mods. i trust we will all see this as MDvaldosta continues to get faster as he adds supporting mods to his car. low 11's are very attainable with the power he's making.

What I would do is locata a reputable source in your area that does performance work on Mustangs. Then go talk to the guys. They will be able to get a feeling for what you want the car to be, and then make several recommendations.

Then you can decide.
