ET Streets: cornering?, rain?, hook?
the only thing i have seen those tires on was a fully restored 73 GTO on 15in wheels and they just looked big and bulky. whats the best price you have found on these tires?

no that is not true, they really don't last as long. you will find a happy medium with the bfg g forces

How is it not true? Have you actually had both tires on the same car?
Or is this justtypical internet hearsay?

The tread on my nittoDRs didnt last for sh*t on my at the time near stock GT, I wasnt crazy with burnouts either, only one trip to the track. Im pretty sure my MTs will hold there tread ATLEAST as long as my nittos did.

Nah, it's not just internet hear-say.

The Mickey Thompson ET Street Radials are literally a SOFTER tire than BFG's and Nittos, and BFG's more so than Nitto inturn.

Common sense would dictate that a softer tire will deteriate *spelling?* faster than one that is harder and more durable.

It's also the reason that the Nitto drag radials don't get as sticky when heated up for a laucnh, they dont soften up and allow the tire to grab as much as the other two.

I'm at 12K on my MT's and that is babying the holy **** out of them. I MIGHT see 15K or so of DD till I take them off for just the track with little to no tread depth left.

Yes, I know that to the touch the MTs are softer, but theyalso seem to have deeper/more tread than my nittos did.

My friend's BFG DR tread felt about as soft as the MTs. I think the main difference between the two is in the pattern and sidewall.

My nittos didnt last as long because they needed to be HOT to stick, their soft when hot. The MTs dont need aslong a burn as the nittos to stick if at all, thereforI would think thatthey wouldmake up some of the life they lose from the softer compound compaired to nittos for how long you have to burnthemin order to hook. IMO.

Nittos>bfg>MTs in the rain though im sure.
