So I was taking this defensive driving course out in the middle of a closed Marine base and we had to do a reverse slalom course. I did it once, and everything went fine, until the end when I tried to put it back into neutral then 1st.

No matter how hard I pushed, no matter how far the clutch was in, it didn't pop loose. Finally, we got a couple of guys to help out and rock the car back and forth while I jiggled the shifter and it broke loose! I couldn't believe how badly that thing got stuck. Ever happen to anybody else?

The instructor said it could be because that was the longest the car has ever gone in reverse gear, then I told him I have an MGW short throw, and he said that could also be the problem. It was really weird.

Wow, that's weird! I've never heard of that happening before. I doubt it's the shifter. I've never heard of any problems like that from any short throw shifter.

You were taking a defensive driving course??... How old are you?..

inever been stuck in revo..but i couldnt get out of 2nd once.. turned out tobe throw out bearing.

tell you what that **** happend to me and i wasn't happy!! i had mine towed to a shop and they couldn't figure it out and finaly replaced the hole tranny!!! at no cost to me i don't know how they managed that but it was nice of them...and mine had the steeda short shift so maybe its something wrong with the short shifts!! but it was just how you explained it!! no matter how hard i tried to get it out of reverse it was stuck!!

it's happend to me, just let it role a bit and push on the stick while in motion (clutch in of course) and it should pop out easy...ive got a tri-ax and have no idea what would cause it

f* it just do it like gone in 60 seconds and drive around in revo.

i was pissed at some guy that passed me on a bike and flicked me off, so i dropped the clutch a little hard in reverse and it got stuck. i just beat it into submission until it popped. Damn stock tremecs and B/W's!!

how did you get it in rev. i cant even get mine in rev. when im going 2 miles an hour

mine got stuck in reverse and I had to buy a new tranny. i tried everything to get it out, even getting in the back seat and kicking it. hope you have better luck with yours

lol i jsut had mine rebuilt and mine got stuck in reverse. I just kept hitting it and it popped out. lol I hate our trannys
