Yes it is a direct swap. The hood will rub on the top on the intake. So you have to either modify the hood or get a Cobra Hood. But that is the only modifcation to the car.

I'm referring to a 96 to 98 Cobra engine not sure on the 99 up Cobra

As far as wiring is conserned is it a direct plugin to the firewall? I mean the GT engine harness needs to be removed. Is there someone here that can give a total walkthrough?

i tried to swap a cobra into my 96 GT but the damn thing slithered away then bit and killed my pet mouse . . what a jerk. . yea asnd i let him get away after that cuz i dint wanna mess with a highly poisonous snake . . n then i got thinkin . . what would he have done for my engine ne ways? o well
