Default Lumpy idle normal in gt's???

Just wanting to know from other GT owners if they all have a lumpy idle, nothing serious but when your at a stop does your shifter move with the idle?? I dont know if i'm making that much sense but thats the best way to explain it.

It should idle very smooth. What are your RPM's doing when its rough? If your rpm's are dropping that could cause it to idle rough for a few seconds until the engine picks up speed.

If thats the case, then most likely its the IAC sensor.

When I come to a stop my idle is slightly off. Like it'll go up and down a little bit. I don't know what you're talking about with the shifter though...

RPM's dont drop, i've had the car for 6mths and just thought it was normal in stangs but just wanted to make sure. Like i said its not a major lump, its actually a very nice lumplump...lumplump...lumplump.
And not to long ago i had an upper intake cleaning and had all the sensors replaced(IAC ect...) so its not that.

Do you have a stock shifter, it is pretty common if I'm understanding you right all manuals do that.

I'm saying you can see the shifter move in rythem with the lump.

And is there another word for it besides LUMP cause that does'nt sound like the right term to me??

I can see mine moving around. About as much as the trans mount lets the tranny move. If its not much, you can just notice it, it normal.

Sounds like you need a tune up with some new plugs and wires! The engine can be misfiring causing that and it's possible it wouldn't set off a code.

erratic idle could be a vacuum leak somewhere
