Default pinging

is a little detonation jst going to happen no matter what since i have a s/c. cuz i took my car back to the shop to adjust the timing and to fix the detonation and it fixed it for the most part except i still hear detonation clicking and the very top rpms during WOT is there something i can do on my own with the sct tuner to fix this. because it really worries me and im gonna crack another piston head. thanks

your car shouldn't have a ping at all. I would take it to another shop, and i wouldnt try to tune the car myself.

Might wanna look at the Snow meth injection kit. I've got one coming as you can see I'm boosted with the PI swap. Just extra insurance plus you'll possibly get a few more ponies. But yea, get another tuner for sure

You should never experience detonation at any rpm's with or without a super charger. Even a little bit of detonation is a bad thing under boost. Things that can cause "pinging" are low fuel octane, high a/f ratio, to much timing, high air inlet temp,to much boost and not so common problems withe over-heating valves.

I imagine that you can decrease the over-all timing with the sct, but I'd warn against doing so unless you are sure of what you are doing.

I think your tunermust set the timing too far in advance, try downloading the factory setting until you can get the correct tune sequence programed into your tuner[>:][:-]

Do not do that unless you have a blow off valve or other means of by-passing the boost created by your supercharger. The factory programming will not be able to compensate for the addition fuelthat is required with a s/c and will more than likely result in a very lean a/f ratio. Your detonation would probably be more severe with the factory tune.

Just stay out of boost - until you can get it back in the shop.
