It's out of warranty so they are going to deny the claim anyway. If you are a month or two past the warranty or a couple thousand miles over 36,000 they will sometimes give you a "good faith" warranty extention.

I highly doubt it'll happen for you especially since it will be your engine.If you lost oil pressure & heard a screech then you need a new short block & shouldn't waste anytime with Ford & paying for them to diagnose and then tell you to go pound sand.

well, almost 4 months ago my 03 gt was parked from the oil pump going out. finally took it to ford and the mac underdrive pulleys is what caused my problem. the bolt and loctite they supplied with them was not good enough i guess cause the bolt backed out of the bottom pulley and wore the shaft down, caused my timing gear to break a tooth which explains the missfire i have had for a couple months and it finally broke the oil pump gear. like i said before the car only had 29,000 miles on it but the warranty was over the three year time. i guess i got almost pretty lucky cause ford is paying 60% of it. so they have a new motor ordered which will cost me about 2,200 dollars total. i will be soo happy in about 2 weeks when i get my baby back.

wow that really sucks. I blew my clutch the other day, and it was making horrible noises and that mad me sad, and it's not even as bad as whats going on with your car.
