at the track friday night i saw a 04 cobra smoke a new gt500. is the cobra really faster than the gt500 or did the shelby dude just not know how to drive. the ran 3 times and the cobra won every time. im perty sure both cars were stock. or at least thats what was going round the track.

Last time I was at the track there was a GT500 there the best it could do was a 12.6 at like 118 or something like that.. he would spin till about half track..

gt500s may have 500 bhp, but they also weigh near 5,000 lbs... a 04 cobra should have around 410-420 bhp (we all know ford underrated them @ 390) and weights 3500-3800 ish, weight has ALOT to do with it

04 cobra deff had mods. them stock run high 300s at the wheels stock but no 500 something or w/e the gt500 got

it beat him by bout 3 tenths of a sec every time. it wasnt car lenghts thats for sure. the cobra never spun the first time. is that cause of thr IRS?

hmm...maybe the cobra had good mods, or the gt500 couldnt drive ****.
