No wonder why so many gtowners upgrade their brake rotors and caliper to the bullit package. I didn't know that. How much are the bullit rotors and calipers?
I think the upgrade to 13" is a waste of time unless you do Road track racing or something like that. I have 99+ calipers and cross slotted/drilled rotors, front and back with stock pads and am very impressed. I was going 80mph on the highway and pretty much slammed on the brakes to where the front tires just started to slide, the car stopped immediattely. I stopped way faster than the odometer could drop. There's no way you need to have better brakes than that. I'm all over my brakes when I take my car out. They never heat up or glaze over! Get some rotors and save your money, unless you like the look of the 13" rotors, because it's all looks!

its not all looks bro. Think about the laws of physics etc. A bigger rotor requires a bigger pad (so the calipers arent the same!), and thus allows for more surface area on the rotor to be used to stop the vehicle...its laws of physics man :-p

if you guys want some better braking power, go to summitracing and order ford racing cross drilled and slotted rotors with ceramic red stuff bake pads...for under 300 bucks it'll keep you stopping much better and are way better then ****ty stock ford brakes....once you look at serious hpo then worry bout the 4 and 6 piston calipers

You make it sound like a Mustang is a death trap on wheels. These cars brake very well for a passenger vehicle, and I'd guess better than ALOT of cars on the road.

Surely not on par, or anywhere close with track cars, but for nearly all street applications, the stock brakes do VERY WELL. They've saved my car/*** at least twice.

Man, those are some huge rotors. How many pistons do the regular gt calipers have? Do you think this upgrade is necessary if you don't do alot of track racing?
2 pistons
